For this trade show booth or client came to us with a very specific design that they wanted to create, right down to the types of flowers on the grass! Using a combination of artificial and real products we reproduced a Swedish landscape on a small scale.

Due to the large amount of square footage for this event we created multiple island displays to define the space and make it more intimate. Guests were compelled to meander through pathways to discover new vignettes. By combining live evergreen trees with artificial trees you get the benefits of the aromatic scent of cedar, as well enjoying the mix of foliage to create interest within the displays. All of our totem poles are carved by a Haida artist and have been blessed in a traditional ceremony and each tells a beautiful story, a wonderful addition to any West Coast display.

Villa Amato is one of Vancouver’s leading venues for weddings. Located near the Olympic Village it boasts beautiful views of both False creek and the North Shore mountains. For this wedding, Greenscape provided full design and set up service, handling all décor elements. From the fresh floral arrangements (Yes! We do fresh!), to exterior décor for the patio, to chair covers and linens, to shifting décor from ceremony to reception, our designer even decorated the cake! Our bride enjoyed her special day knowing all these elements were handled by professionals.

The Rocky Mountaineer Station is a breathtaking space with expansive ceilings and windows, which allow for a ton of natural lighting. For this event, our client requested that we recreate the experience of walking through the forest. Our team designed large woodland vignettes, including live cedar trees to add a forest aroma to the space. Real dried leaves scattered on the floor throughout the entire space helped achieve an authentic forest impression. Custom designed centrepieces comprised of real silver birch poles, rocks, and moss added just the right touch of rustic simplicity. Our design team also created a custom stand for the front door that displayed fresh cedar saplings that were individually wrapped in burlap for the event attendees to take away with them.

We worked with the design team at Fireworks Event Furniture to supply décor for this hospitality suite during the Olympics. Our team custom-built unique silver birch panels that provided visual division within the space while still allowing for an open organic feel to the room. The birch panels are 8’ long by 10 high and are still available for rental.

For IDS West 2010 we entered their design challenge, which is a similar concept to the Iron Chefyou are given a special “ingredient” and then you create something great. We were selected to participate and a week later, our inspirational ingredient arrived: a box of wine corks!
Our Concept:
Stop and Smell the Roses
The last couple of years have been a challenge for all of us in many different ways—some struggled with a sluggish economy, some faced new challenges, some were surrounded by overwork and chaos.
Our exploration of this cork themed design challenge lead us to evaluate the depth of our life experience in the past year. Cork is invaluable for its certain unique characteristics of impermeability, buoyancy, elasticity and fire resistancequalities we recognize that we embraced personally and in business in order to overcome a difficult year and not get burned!
We also recognized as a team perhaps we worked too hard, didn’t play enough, showed love too little – but this project had a profound impact on bringing us closer together to remind us of what is important and to identify how we can make even small changes that will allow us to reflect, rejuvenate, and celebrate.
Our company aspires to transform spaces and create experienceshopefully our installation will inspire you to take a moment to stop and smell the roses.
*Our Rose Lady’s name is Clarisse and she is available for rental.

Teaming up with 3D Services for the BC Pavilion at the Vancouver Art Gallery during the 2010 Olympics, we created an interactive educational display representing the diverse forest areas throughout British Columbia.
