Bigger than six NHL ice rinks and one of the biggest tourist attractions built since EXPO 86, Storyeum, which is located in Gastown, was a massive undertaking for Greenscape. On the Ancient Trails set, we used an impressive mix of natural tree trunks and bark, combined with artificial foliage to create the feel of an old growth West Coast rainforest. The vision was to create an experiential environment that immersed audiences into a forest feel as they passed through 8 different sets highlighting an interactive theatrical recreation of British Columbia’s history.

The stylized West Coast environment of the Pacific Passage at the Vancouver Airport was designed by Aldrich Pears and incorporated a natural beach setting, gentle waves and rugged habitat tree snags to greet visitors from the United States. This natural landscape provides a fantastic frame for the impressive Hetux Thunderbird sculpture by Connie Watts. http://www.yvr.ca/

One of our design clients approached us about her residential client who was not wanting the maintenance and upkeep that her live plants required. We created a clean and striking design using some of her existing planters in combination with others custom built by our team. As the residence was a penthouse with a wrap-around patio, we used tall grasses for privacy in one area as well as some lower grasses in another area to not compromise the view. Our line of polyblend grasses add great natural movement, can last out doors up to 10 years and look ultra realistic.
