In coordination with Sharp and Diamond Landscape Architects and Panther Management, Greenscape designed and built 19 custom Vine Maple trees that were 18’ tall with a basegarden treatment of westcoast ferns in large designer concrete planters for the International Departures wing. As well, we installed 30 salal planters to line the upper walkway that overlooked the stunning replica streambed environment. Iconic elements like a curving stream, detailed rock work, lush foliage, an urban fountain, a large aquarium and sculptures by the carver Dempsey Bob all work together to define the space and utilize the calming effects of nature to create a soothing environment for International travelers. http://www.yvr.ca/en/Default.aspx

The stylized West Coast environment of the Pacific Passage at the Vancouver Airport was designed by Aldrich Pears and incorporated a natural beach setting, gentle waves and rugged habitat tree snags to greet visitors from the United States. This natural landscape provides a fantastic frame for the impressive Hetux Thunderbird sculpture by Connie Watts. http://www.yvr.ca/

IDSWest 2010 was amazing as always.
The concept we came up with was simple, Stop and Smell the Roses. It has been a hard year for everyone so we really wanted to make a statement about what is important during these times and what you can always rely on. For us, it was friends and family. Getting together with loved ones; sharing good food, good wine and good laughs.
As a team, we all pulled together and spent hours covering our beautiful mannequin Clarisse in rose petals (1633 to be exact), and making countless grape clusters and flowers out of recelycled and sheet cork.
Corinne and I had a great time (all 13 hours one day) working in our booth, reconnecting with clients and friends, and getting the opportunity to meet new people. The speakers where great, the atmosphere was inspiring and the feedback was beyond motivating. Needless to say, we left feeling excited and energized…and exhausted
We would like to thank everyone that worked so hard on this with us and a special ‘thank you’ to our friends at Industrial Revolution for providing our booth with the beautiful furniture that you can find at their South Granville location.
