The lobby at 360 Terminal is open and modern with lots of beautiful natural light. Our client wanted a design with high impact and containing architectural qualities, as well as still appearing natural. [...]
Working with BLD Décor and Scenery, we created custom trees and groundcover to represent the diverse ecosystems in Canada. A seemingly simple project—building trees is our specialty—but, “The Catch”: the entire exhibit had to be modular so that it could packed into shipping crates and transported all across the country and then reassembled repeatedly by different people.
Brix Restaurant, located in Yaletown, was looking to transform their intimate, cozy courtyard into an overgrown Italian Piatza. We added large weeping trees, seasonal flower boxes and crawling ivy that sprawled all over the walls to created a unique, romantic dining experience with absolutely no maintenance required. http://www.brixvancouver.com/
Browns Restaurant Group – Coast Tsawwassen Inn
Greenscape has been working with Brown Restaurant Group on their indoor and outdoor plants since their first opening, so we were thrilled to be a part of the design for their newest location in the Coast Tsawwassen Inn, the first restaurant of its kind for this area. [...]
Browns Restaurant Group – Port Moody
Located in New Port Village, this Browns location is one of our favorites. Working with the Browns Restaurant Group design team to enhance their already amazing esthetic is always inspiring, and this project was no exception. [...]
Century Grill wanted to update their patio with something simple and low maintenance that would be decorative as well as functional. After flying out for a in depth consultation with the owner and interior designer, we came up with a design that incorporated the use of custom planters as fencing around the patio. [...]
The newest addition of restaurants to Northlands Properties, Chop Restaurant is funky, original and whimsical. Due to a high design concept and because the planters used were oversized high gloss and mirror mosaic planters imported directly from Europe, Greenscape brought our mobile workshop to their site. [...]
One of our design clients approached us about her residential client who was not wanting the maintenance and upkeep that her live plants required. We created a clean and striking design using some of her existing planters in combination with others custom built by our team. [...]
Working with Sheffield Design we created an expansive natural west coast forest for the River Rock Casino in Richmond. With 9 exhibit areas including exterior and interior entrances, 70’ vaulted ceilings, trees spanning up to 40’ tall, large water features, a natural rock swimming pool with an aspen tree border, penthouse suites with 3’ diameter cedar logs, and extensive trees, plants, mosses and lichens, this was one of Greenscape’s most dramatic installations. All the natural materials were sourced from locally managed forestry cut blocks and blended with artificial foliage and finally fabricated to meet the strict seismic and fire code compliant components of the project. http://www.riverrock.com
Teaming up once again with Sheffield Designs brought us to Edmonton for a major restaurant and lobby/front entrance renovation.
Our team transformed an outdated Santa Fe themed area into a spectacular Cree Nation inspired landmark that was complete with an award winning dining room and art gallery. [...]
Historical Experiences—Westcoast Storyeum
Bigger than six NHL ice rinks and one of the biggest tourist attractions built since EXPO 86, Storyeum, which is located in Gastown, was a massive undertaking for Greenscape. On the Ancient Trails set, we used an impressive mix of natural tree trunks and bark, combined with artificial foliage to create the feel of an old growth West Coast rainforest. [...]
Vancouver International Airport—Pacific Passage
The stylized West Coast environment of the Pacific Passage at the Vancouver Airport was designed by Aldrich Pears and incorporated a natural beach setting, gentle waves and rugged habitat tree snags to greet visitors from the United States. [...]
Vancouver International Airport—International Departures Spirit of the Sea
In coordination with Sharp and Diamond Landscape Architects and Panther Management, Greenscape designed and built 19 custom Vine Maple trees that were 18’ tall with a basegarden treatment of westcoast ferns in large designer concrete planters for the International Departures wing. [...]
